Extreme-ly excited

I am one of the new-bie Extreme Weather Heroes and so ready to get amongst the action! We had our briefing weekend in the lush tropical awesomeness of the Gold Coast.

All the other heroes are too deadly* and so into volunteering with all the different emergency response organisations. It made me realise that its time for me to get into it. 

So, I’m getting my act together. I am going to start volunteering with the Australian Red Cross in Melbourne.

I have just moved down to Melbs from Darwin (which explains why I speak a little different to you southerners!) and ready to get out there, get trained up and meet some new people.

I have volunteered with the Red Cross in the NT for years, but now I need to do new background checks and fill out all the forms so I can get some training.

 

Stay tuned for my updates as I finish running around getting all my ID and background checks.
