Run for a Safe Climate in Brisbane

This amazing group of emergency service workers were so inspiring! Not only had they run from Noosa to Brisbane in a day (!), they were committed enought to hold a community night to tell everybody all about their experiences with climate change as firefighter, police officer and paramedics. (After running that far I would've just curled up and sobbed under a table somewhere...)

To give you context, 25 runners from across the emergency services organisations are running 6000 km in 27 days to raise awareness of what Australia has at stake in the face of a changing climate - water supplies, ecosystems, agricultural and coastal communities.

With all the recent hobnobbing with politicians and rocking out at festivals, its probably necessary to talk about what we actually do as SES volunteers - and that's training. Lots of training.
